This page is for displaying my animation tests for the documentary trailer and ultimately the documentary itself. Below is a demonstration of how I intend to animate segments for our website.
Escapism vs Reality
The styles below are the styles we intend to use in the film. Some ways we will apply this is fully animated sequences as well as partially real, partially animated segments. For example, when our primary is talking about being a superhero we could animate him in costume over the real subject to connote the fantasy world in his head and how he views himself. This adds a sense of escapism to the film that could reflect the subjects state of mind.
Furthermore we are considering creating a them in our documentary by implementing animated speech bubbles introducing our characters, rather than the traditional bar along the bottom of the screen with their name on.
